3rd Year Spell List

CAN PERFORM FIRST-THIRD YEAR SPELLS.

• Aparecium - Incantation "Aparecium" - Revealing Charm this charm is used to reverse concealing charms, and can presumably render invisible ink visible. It is covered in a rather old spellbook in the restricted section of the library.
• Bluebell Flames - Incantation unknown - creates a quantity of blue flame which can be directed to a specific place.
• Cheering Charm - Incantation Unknown - A charm that cheers a person up, makes them happy.
• Confundus Charm - Incantation "Confundo" - Causes confusion. A person who is affected by this charm is said to be confounded.
• Cushioning Charm - Incantation Unknown - Creates an unseen softening effect on target surfaces. It is primarily used in broomstick manufacturing to make the brooms more comfortable for riders.
• Cistem Aperio - Incantation "Cistem Aperio" - Used to blast open a trunk, chest, box or crate with a burst of white light. Being more specific than other opening spells in that it works only on trunks, chests, boxes or crates, may increase the spell's potency against a warded target of the appropriate kind.
• Feather-light Charm - Incantation Unknown - Causes the target to become feather light.
• Flame Freezing Charm - Incantation Unknown - Causes fire to tickle instead of burning.
• Fumos Duo - Incantation “Fumos Duo” - Is a more powerful version of Fumos. Creates a larger and thicker wall of smoke which can encompass three individuals.
• Gripping Charm - incantation unknown - spell that allows the enchanted object to be held more easily.
• Herbivicus - Incantation "Herbivicus" - Makes plants grow to full size instantaneously.
• Hot Air Charm - incantation unknown - fires a jet of hot air from the end of the caster's wand.
• Multicorfors - Incantation "Multicorfors" - A charm used to change the color of one's clothing.
• Pack - Incantation Unknown - Packs a trunk
• Quietus - Incantation “Quietus” – Used to counter Sonorus or on its own. Is used to quieten sounds.
• Sonorus - Incantation "Sonorus" - is a charm that can be used to amplify the targeted sound, be it a person's voice or a piece of equipment.

• Extinguishing Spell - Incantation Unknown - Spell that puts out fires.
• Glacius - Incantation "Glacius" - Transforms the target into solid albeit normal ice.
• Herbifors - Incantation "Herbifors" - causes flowers to sprout from the victim.
• Impervius - Incantation "Impervius" - Makes object waterproof or water repellent.
• Incendio Tria - Incantation "Incendio Tria" - strongest version of Incendio.
• Lumos Maxima - Incantation "Lumos Maxima" - In a similar manner to the rest of the Lumos family of spells, this produces light from the end of the caster's wand. Given the name of the spell, it is likely to be intended as an even more powerful version than Lumos.
• Lapifors - Incantation "Lapifors" - turns small objects into real rabbits.
• Lacarnum Inflamarae - Incantation "Lacarnum Inflamarae" - It sends a ball of fire from the wand
• Orchideous - Incantation "Orchideous" - Conjures a bunch of flowers
• Mobiliarbus - Incantation "Mobiliarbus" - Levititates and moves an object
• Muffliato - Incantation "Muffliato" - Fills the ears of target persons near the caster with an unidentifiable buzzing, so that the caster can hold lengthy conversations without being overheard.
• Riddikulus - Incantation "Riddikulus" - Use this spell and laugh to defeat a boggart
• Rennervate - Incantation "Rennervate" - Revives a stunned person
• Serpensortia - Incantation "Serpensortia" - Conjures a serpent from the spell-caster's wand.
• Waddiwasi - Incantation "Waddiwasi" - Appears to launch small objects through the air.

• Alarte Ascendare - Incantation "Alarte Ascendare" - Shoots the target high into the air. Used only once, and that was by Gilderoy Lockhart in 1992.
• Bat-Bogey Hex - Incantation unknown - enlarges an opponent's 'bogies' to bat-size, gives them wings, and sets them to attacking his or her face.
• Ears to Kumquats - Incantation Unknown - This spell transforms the victim's ears into kumquats
• Ebublio Jinx - Incantation "Ebublio" - a jinx that entraps the targeted witch or wizard, or indeed any target, in a very large bubble that cannot be popped by physical force
• Flipendo Tria - Incantation “Flipendo Tria” - An even more powerful version of Flipendo. It throws a target great lengths and creates a little blue tornado.
• Impediment Jinx - Incantation "Impedimenta" - This hex is capable of tripping, freezing, binding, knocking back and generally impeding the target's progress towards the caster. The extent to which the spell's specific action can be controlled by the caster is unclear.
• Obscuro - Incantation "Obscuro" - Causes a blindfold to appear over the victim's eyes, obstructing their vies of their surroundings.
• Orbis - Incantation "Orbis" - Sucks the target into the ground
  Steleus - A Hex that causes the victim to sneeze for a short period of time.
• Pefto - Incantation "Pefto" - Trip Jinx. This spell, surprisingly or not, causes the target to trip. Its difficulty is moderate and a third year should be able to use it correctly. If cast wrong, however, it just doesn't have an effect at all
• Relashio - Incantation "Relashio" - Revulsion Jinx, Releases a jet of fiery sparks. Underwater, this spell fires a jet of boiling water
• Ventus Duo - Incantation "Ventus Duo" - A stronger blast of air than the Hot Air Charm.

• Conjunctivitis Curse - Incantation Unknown - Curse that causes irritation in the target's eyes, causing them to swell shut like the infection conjunctivitis, commonly known as "pink eye". The Oculus Potion ends the effects of this curse
• Debilis Legs - Incantation "Debilis Legs" - Jelly-Leg Curse causes the subject to lose all muscle power in his or her legs. He or she will wobble around on these useless legs for a few moments, then collapse
• Sectumsempra - Incantation "Sectumsempra" - Cuts the target
• Steleus - Incantation "Steleus" - This curse causes the victim to sneeze for a period of time.
• Titillando - Titillando - A curse which causes the victim to be tickled and weaken them. It manifess itself in purple, hand-shaped ribbons of light that wrapped around the target and tickled them. Nastier than Rictusempra.
